What is a Level 2 charging station
Level 2 chargers can recharge any electric or plug-in vehicle in anywhere between 1 to 8 hours depending on the vehicles’ onboard charger, battery capacity and level of charge.

- Keep in mind that you will not need to wait for the battery level to deplete. Just plug-in each time you park at a charger, whether you have 30% or 90% of battery left.
- Charge at night when your home, as well as the power grid, are least loaded. This way you are preventing any power overload issues at home and, if your power provider offers a night tariff, benefitting financially.

For installing a level 2 charging station at home
To install a charging station you will need a designated parking space, such as garage, driveway, or porting port. Current legislation does not allow the installation of private charging stations in public places.

Should a choose a charger with a socket or an integrated cable?
In case you have a private garage, a station with an integrated cable will be easer to use. In case the installation is outdoors, in a car port or any other publicly accessible area, consider a charger without an integrated cable to avoid damage to the cable.
Can I install a residential charging station at work?
Professional charging stations offer functions such as load balancing for optimal current distribution, the ability to connect to a CPO platform, and more. Even if a residential model meets the your current needs, you may need to replace it when you install more chargers in the future.
I have a plug-in hybrid, what power supply will I need? A plug-in hybrid normally charges at 16A or 32A amps from a single phase. Even if you have a 3-phase charger, your vehicle will only draw power from a single phase.
My vehicle supports 3-phase charging but my power supply is single phase. Will I have a problem?
You can install either a 3-phase charger (in case you upgrade your power supply or move) or a sigle phase one. In any case your charging speed will be limited single phase charging.
I have more than one electric vehicle, how many charging stations will I need?
The ideal ration is one charging station per vehicle.
I don’t have my own garage, driveway, or car port. Can I install a charging station on the sidewalk?
